Achieving Harmony

Acceptance is one of the keys to achieving harmony especially in relationships. By acceptance, it means not accepting the negative but adapting and understanding who or what your circle is about.

Correlating, compassion is also essential to achieve peace. When you embody compassion, you also embrace gentleness. This means you respond calmly in any situation rather than assuming and jumping to conclusions that lead to negative reactions, some of which we may sometimes regret.

It is also important to remove all expectations because as Dr. Steve Maraboli, a best-selling author, speaker, and behavioural Scientist once quoted,

“expectation feeds frustration. It is an unhealthy attachment to people, things, and outcomes we wish to control; but don’t.”

If you don’t expect, you won’t experience disappointment and once again, you will find peace filling the space the expectations used to be.
